# Add

Insert a new, unsaved row into the grid.

Add **Add** from **Data** in the action editor.

## Configuration

Edit the action node to change its **Label**; no additional action node settings are required.

## Execution

* If the action node receives rows, the new row is inserted after the last incoming row.
* Without incoming rows, it is inserted after the first row, or into the empty grid.
* The new row becomes selected.

Enter the record's values, then use [Save](https://coconut-grid.mintlify.site/actions/save.md) to save it to Salesforce. Adding a row requires create access.

Changing the grid selection does not change the row set already being passed through this workflow.
