# Download

Download a CSV or Excel file using options saved in the action node. Add **Download** from **Data** in the action editor.

## Configuration

Edit the action node and set:

| Field | Description |
| - | - |
| **Label** | Name shown on the action node. |
| **Format** | **CSV** or **Excel**. |
| **Columns** | **Visible** or **All**. |
| **Include Column Headers** | Whether to include column headings. |

Click **Apply** to store the options.

## Execution

The file downloads without asking the user to choose options.

Incoming rows are exported when present. With no incoming rows, all rows currently loaded in the grid are exported. No additional records are fetched. Export permission is required.

Use [Export](https://coconut-grid.mintlify.site/actions/export.md) when the user should choose the options each time.
