Use visualization tabs to view and edit Salesforce records in the way that fits your work. Combine grids and record details in one item to work with related information together.

Choose a Tab Type

Organize Your Work

  • Folders organize your items.
  • Items contain tabs and define the layout used to display them.
  • Tabs provide individual Grid, Related Grid, or Related Detail views.
Use an item layout to display multiple tabs at once. For example, place an Accounts Grid beside a Related Grid of contacts and a Related Detail tab. Related Grid and Related Detail use a source Grid or Related Grid in the same item. A Related Grid can use the source’s focused row, selected rows, or all loaded rows. Related Detail follows the focused row and displays either that record or a record referenced by it. Create the source grid first, then set up a Related Grid or set up Related Detail.

Work with Fields and Formulas

Use the field picker to select Salesforce fields, including fields from related records. Use formulas in grid columns and other inputs that support expressions.
