Each tab belongs to an item and displays records from a selected Salesforce object.

New Tab

Create a new tab in an item.

Open New Tab dialog

In the item view, click New Tab next to the existing tabs.

Enter tab details

Enter the required information.
  • Object – The Salesforce object used by the tab
  • Tab Name – The display name of the tab

Save

Click Save to create the tab.

Edit Tab

Update tab details.

Open tab menu

In the tab list, select the tab and click the dropdown menu.

Select Edit

Click Edit to open the Edit Tab dialog.

Update tab details

Modify the required information.
  • Tab Name – The display name of the tab
  • Tab Id – The tab record ID (read-only)

Save

Click Save to apply changes.
If the user does not have edit permission, the Edit action changes to View, and the dialog is read-only.

Clone Tab

Create a new tab by copying an existing tab.

Open tab menu

In the tab list, select the tab and click the dropdown menu.

Select Clone

Click Clone to open the Clone Tab dialog.

Update tab details

Modify the required information before saving.
  • Tab Name – The display name of the tab
  • Tab Id – The tab record ID (read-only)

Save

Click Save to create the cloned tab.
Copies the tab configuration.

Move Tab

Change the item of a tab.

Open tab menu

In the tab list, select the tab and click the dropdown menu.

Select Move

Click Move to open the Move Tab dialog.

Select destination item

Choose an item from Available Items.

Save

Click Save to move the tab.

Delete Tab

Remove a tab from its item.

Open tab menu

In the tab list, select the tab and click the dropdown menu.

Select Delete

Click Delete to open the Delete Tab dialog.

Confirm deletion

Click Delete to remove the tab.
Deleting a tab removes its configuration but does not delete Salesforce data.
Actions are disabled if the user does not have permission.
